The Trial Pt. 1

The media is all abuzz with the trial of Derek Chauvin. Social Media is all abuzz with tropes, stereotypes, and attacks on the victim instead of the man who murdered him in front of the whole world. Social media and far right shills and grifters have turned this into the trial of George Floyd.

It seems as though a man’s past is going on trial, as if the things he did out of despair and desperation years ago are reason to impose a death sentence on him one spring day in 2020.

It should be shouted from every media outlet, every outraged person’s mouth

THERE WAS NOTHING GEORGE FLOYD DID ON MAY 25, 2020 THAT WARRANTED A DEATH PENALTY. NO REASONABLE PERSON WOULD BELIEVE THAT. NO MATTER WHAT THIS MAN MAY HAVE DONE IN HIS LIFE WAS NOT REASON TO SQUEEZE THE LIFE OUT OF HIM.

Quite honestly, if I was a juror on this case, the defense has already lost because they are defending the indefensible and putting the victim on trial.

The most disgusting part of what I see is that people are not the least bit silent in their barely covert attemps to cover their racism.

Seems to me the whole world shouted at the top of their lungs their outrage. And yet, because the world needs to change, many are frightened and pushing back as hard as they can against that which MUST be changed. Those who fight change are afraid that if those they have oppressed get any power whatsoever, the empowered oppressed people will unleash karma.

WE SEE YOU Silly White People!! Won’t you feel ashamed when all you get is a good job, a living wage, housing and healthcare???

This is from the autopsy. People seem to be stuck on the “trace amounts” of fentanyl and methamphetamines. Just those two words tell me that he wasn’t intoxicated to the point that people are making him out to be.
Now what’s your argument to condone murder? If this was a white man, would you be so quick to vilify a dead man?
AND WHAT? If being on drugs was a crime punishable by death, we would be living in the Philippines. Or at eh very least, all you pill heads and alcoholics out there would be in big trouble.
